Great breakfast, fast service, great room.

Loved the design! Was completely shocked when I walked in. Merida has a look outside that does not show how the inside of a building will look like. When you walk in it is pretty magical.

I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend this hotel to my friends

The breakfast was good though it got boring eating the same thing for 4 days. A little more variety would have been nice. The staff were very friendly and I felt very safe as I was travelling alone

The room was dark as there were no windows and it felt a bit claustrophobic. Also the bathroom being on te second floor was a little inconvenient.

Excellent, the best hotel I have stayed in in Mexico.

This hotel was amazing, I couldn’t fault the service, location and room. I would recommend staying here to anybody and if I am back in Mérida at any point I will definitely stay there again.

The room and the hotel interior were pretty, authentic and clean. Breakfast was pretty light, but it was okay. Staffs were kind and helpful.

Nice stylish hotel but with some problems

Beautiful and stylish room, good location, nice staff

Price charged is different from advertised, breakfast is poor and they charge extra for basic stuff such as eggs (and charge absurd amounts), room has no curtains and they woke me up during my vacation to check if I wanted to get my room cleaned

A mini paradise oasis in the middle of a beautiful, authentic Mexican city.

It’s even more beautiful than the photos! the staff were great, the bedrooms were epic. sometimes it was hard to leave the place. Massive thumbs up!

Nothing really. If I was going to be super picky, the air con didn’t work very well on the mezzanine level.

Amazing place close to Merida center

Everything was great, we stayed at the only room with terrace and a tub on which we used as a small private pool to cool down in the hot day. Kitchen was well equipped, the AC and wifi worked well. The welcoming stuff was really friendly and there was a purified water machine in the lobby to save on plastic water bottles.

The bathroom door was not really possible to lock, need to keep it in mind when sharing with others. Also there was music in the night coming from the city, but it was doable.

Charming, historic property in the center

Charming historic property in the center of Mérida. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are arranged around a central courtyard which retains its historic charm. A simple breakfast is provided. You can request drinks from the bar.

Some rooms are more charming than others (ours had very basic tiles and beds; others have the traditional decorative tiles and old-style four poster beds). Breakfast is very basic (toast, fruit, coffee, juice). Would have loved to have snacks at aperitivo hour, but there are none. Many locations in the historical center are about a 15-20 minute walk. Not a problem for those who like to walk (like me), but might be for others.

Viva Merida is an excellent option when visiting Merida. The location of the hotel is great, the facilities are very good, the staff is friendly and you feel the sensation of a Hotel Boutique.

Exceptional

Spacious, clean, lovely breakfast, beautiful building, close into el centro but not too close so it is loud. I tend to stay in Airbnbs. This was much better. The staff are happy to arrange transport to Pyramids/Cenotes. The breakfast sets you up wonderfully for the day!

The room was on two levels which makes it a unique experience!

This hotel is unique as my room was on 2 levels which I really enjoyed. The decor is just gorgeous. The bed is very soft and comfortable. All the rooms open onto the courtyard which is the centre of the hotel where breakfast is served. A short walk to the centre, shops and restaurants. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Loved the decor. Felt like a little hideaway. Relatively close to everything but not in the middle of everything. The staff were wonderful.

I didn’t love that smoking is permitted on the patio, but this seems to be the norm in Mexico.

What was the highlight of Viva Merida Hotel Boutique

Beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location.

We loved this boutique hotel right in the hustle and bustle of Merida, but peaceful, quiet and beautiful inside. We stayed in the loft suite and loved having our own spacious, private balcony and kitchen space. We didn’t cook but the added space was welcomed. This is a 2 level room with stairs to get into the actual room and stairs to get upstairs. You’ll need to pay attention on the stairs but they were worth! We found the bed firm, but fine and used the parking just up the road for $130 pesos/day, very convenient. If we find ourselves in beautiful Merida again we wouldn’t hesitate to book this lovely hotel once again.
